The ferry crossing lasts 10mins, from Opua Wharf to Okiato Wharf (Russell) in the beautiful Bay of Islands and allows you to take your car across to historic Russell.
Tickets are purchased onboard, CASH ONLY. No EFTPOS or Credit Card facitilities available. The costs is NZD$9.00 per car and driver with additional passengers being NZ$1.00 each.
The ferry is suitable for all vehicles including trucks, buses and campervans.
THE FERRY OPERATES AS A SHUTTLE SERVICE WITH CROSSINGS EVERY 10 MINUTES (APPROX.) BETWEEN 6.40am and 10pm.
